Our Creative Corner Sketch and a Penny Black Challenge

Two for the price of one today!! Our Creative corner had a neat sketch which I made using a Penny Black stamp for their challenge for a man's card with no blue!!

I bought this stamp with my violinist son in mind and today made him this card.

This is a 5 x 7 card as the stamp is quite large.
The card is SU creamy caramel.
Buttons are from SU
Background papers from a tablet of papers I have had for a long time.

Inside I have printed the old poem "The Touch of the Master's Hand" and written a short personal note to my son, Jonathan.

Joan, my Friend, you have created some fabulous cards since I was last here to visit. This one is so, so beautiful; I used to play the violin in High School but was the last chair since I really wasn't any good. Ha! Arthur Fiedler from the Boston Pops came one time to direct us and he told me to "fake" it by running my bow against the side of the violin and just keep in step with the others. Yes, I was THAT bad!!!!

I love the kitties on the next one and those flowers on the one after that are just lovely! You just have the "know how" as to the placement of embellishments on your design and I truly admire that! AWESOME WORK!!!!!

Great job with both challenges! (Love the idea of making a masculine card with no blue!) Great job with the image. Love the buttons, and the sentiment is perfect! Thanks for playing along with the OCC!
